Finance Secretary Brijesh Pandey said this at Women's Awards Ceremony organized on the occasion of International Women's Day 2023 by joint initiative of Taxes and Excise Department and Small Savings Department at Hall No. 2 of Rabindra Bhavan yesterday.
He also said that today's women are advancing in all aspects of work culture, sports etc. whether in the city or village. In this way forward, men are equally inspiring by staying beside women. It is a matter of great pride for us. We want women to be at the top in every field.
Chief Commissioner of State Taxes Rakhi Biswas delivered the welcome address on the occasion. She discussed the theme of this year's International Women's Day, ‘Digital Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality’.
Apart from this, Principal of Women's College Manideepa Debbarma, Director of Family Welfare and Preventive Medicine Department Dr. Radha Debbarma, Chief Executive Officer of Tripura Housing and Construction Board Samukita Das, Additional Secretary of Finance Akinchan Sarkar and others discussed on the development of women.
On the occasion, 154 women who have achieved success in various private sectors including women holding high positions in various departments of the state and central government were felicitated.
Besides, convener of state level bankers committee DGM (PNB) Anand Kumar was given a special felicitation.
