In a momentous event Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has unveiled the Solar-Powered Mobile ATM of Tripura Gramin Bank at Agartala.
This groundbreaking initiative is set to revolutionize banking services in rural areas, benefiting customers of all banks across Tripura.
As per TGB officials customers can now effortlessly withdraw money from all mobile ATMs and ATM counters of Tripura Gramin Bank using ATM cards from any bank. To ensure seamless transactions and assist rural communities, each mobile ATM will be accompanied by a knowledgeable bank associate.
Powered by solar energy, these mobile ATMs will be regularly deployed in remote regions of Tripura, bridging the gap between urban and rural banking services and fostering economic growth in underprivileged areas.
During the occasion, the Finance Minister engaged in a productive dialogue with 121 Business Correspondents of Tripura Gramin Bank, exploring avenues to boost the economic development of rural communities.
In recognition of its vital role in driving rural economic growth, the Minister lauded Tripura Gramin Bank for its exceptional contributions to the state's progress.
Following the inauguration, the Finance Minister actively participated in a comprehensive review meeting concerning Gramin Banks in the North Eastern region, emphasizing the significance of financial inclusion and sustainable development.
