Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia is likely to arrive in Tripura on Thursday for the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebration.
The Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) is expected to attend the program at Rabindra Bhavan in Agartala on Friday.
Sources from state government said that Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, Cooperative Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, and Brijesh Pandey, will also be present for the inauguration of the state-level observance of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on November 15.
The event will commemorate the 149th birth anniversary of tribal leader Birsa Munda, celebrated nationally as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
The source mentioned a range of cultural events and a tribal food festival are planned as part of the celebrations.
Following the program, Union Minister Scindia will hold a review meeting with the Chief Minister on November 15 to assess the progress of development projects in Tripura, undertaken by the DoNER Ministry.
