A parking dispute escalated into a shocking case of assault and molestation on Sunday afternoon near Kanchanmala Bazar in the Golaghati Assembly area, leaving the local community outraged and demanding justice.
The altercation began when Priyatam Sarkar, a local resident, argued with a homeowner over parking his bike in front of a house. The argument quickly intensified, prompting Sarkar to call his friends, Pintu Das and Rakesh Debnath, for support. The trio then launched a violent attack on the homeowner.
In a courageous attempt to protect her husband, the homeowner's wife intervened but was allegedly molested and beaten by the assailants. The victims subsequently lodged a formal complaint at the Amtali police station against Priyatam Sarkar, Rakesh Debnath and Pintu Das.
The Amtali police have assured the victims that a thorough investigation will be conducted and that legal action will be taken against the perpetrators. This incident has sparked significant tension in the Kanchanmala area, with local residents, including the affected woman, demanding severe punishment for the accused.
The community now anxiously awaits the outcome of the investigation, hoping that justice will be served and the safety and security of residents in the Kanchanmala area will be restored.
