Woman sustained bullet injuries in Ambassa

AGARTALA:

A tribal woman sustained gunshot injuries in a shocking incident in a suburban area of Ambassa subdivision on Saturday morning. The victim, identified as Nilima Reang (27), was reportedly sitting at home making pachachara around 9 AM when she was suddenly shot.

According to family members, the bullet struck Nilima below the waist and above the knee before exiting. However, they could not determine the direction from which the bullet was fired.

Upon receiving information about the incident, personnel from the Ambassa Fire Department promptly arrived at the scene. The injured woman was immediately rescued and rushed to Dhalai District Hospital in Kulai, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the Ambasa police station and district police have launched an investigation into the shooting incident. Authorities are working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify the perpetrator. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
