In a significant drive towards finalisation of Tripura’s State Energy Efficiency Action Plan (SEEAP), a validation workshop on SEEAP was held here at Agartala Pragna Bhavan on Wednesday.
The workshop was held with a collaborative effort between Green Tea, Deloitte, and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India to discuss and validate the State Energy Efficiency Action Plan in Tripura till 2030.
The secretary of the state power department Abhishek Singh joined the workshop and emphasized the critical role of energy efficiency in the current scenario of the state of Tripura. Chairman of Tripura Electricity Regulatory Commission D Radha Krishnan, Managing Director of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) Debashish Sarkar, Director Finance of TSECL Saravjit Singh Dogra, and Director Technical of Tripura Power Generation Limited (TPGL) Anil Khanna was present in the workshop.
The workshop delved into the details of the State Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Tripura, outlining the roadmap for achieving energy efficiency in various sectors, including buildings, industry, agriculture, and transportation.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the increasing energy demands in India, with the primary energy demand expected to rise significantly by 2030.
